Cars Inspiring Youth is a 501(c)(3) corporation that inspires high school non-graduates to continue their education and earn good paying jobs.
CARS provides disadvantaged urban youth with an opportunity to learn an interesting and useful skill while becoming productive members of their community. Graduates of the program receive a GED, a certificate of auto repair and an apprenticeship in a local repair shop under master technicians and manufacturing experts.
Our students will receive:
- Classroom training
- Paid job experience
- On-the-job training from master craftsmen
- Exposure to lucrative automotive careers
Although making money from this business is part of our business plan, the real value is skills development for students who work there as part of the apprenticeship program.
